One year ago exactly Christmas Day Maryam was born at 6:59pm. It was a wonderful moment for our family and I can't believe a year has gone by! She is on the verge of now walking, saying mama, baba, teta (grandma) and into everything of course! She has been a joy so far and looking forward to the many years to come with all three inshallah! Love it! And of course all praise be to Allah swt for giving me such joy and happiness with my munchkins! Ilhamdiallah!

So this is what little miss Maryam was like in the first few months.....

Cake Pop Revelation and a Small Bite of Happiness :-)

So I was throwing a baby shower for a dear friend of mine and wanted to do some neat favours so as I thought about what I could do I realised I could totally invest 20 bucks in a cake pop pan and try the suckers out and lo and behold they weren't to shabby! So I decided to make them on the side for some extra cash but moreso cause I really just enjoy making them and see how I can push myself further each time for new ideas and ways to decorate them, plus they are great fun for kids and a small bite of happiness :-)

Delirium!

So I have always been a true believer of homeschooling and the ideology behind it and mashallah props to those families that can do it and make it a success! Once I found out I was pregnant with my third it was really amdifficult decision to put my children in an institution at all since they had never been in anything that I had not somehow been a part of. So once I found their current school Maingate Academy, I really did feel very at home with it and was pleased by the atmosphere and small community like approach to everything. I felt my kids were ready for such a big step and with the third on the way it really allowed me to just enjoy my newborn entirely while the children were at school. Of course that didnt mean I would not be hovering or constantly around their school and all activities, oh boy I wasss. And it was great to see them flourish and really excel as they did. And now a year later Maryam will be one on Christmas day. And were still on the same track and its going well. I am seriously contemplating bringing them back to homeschooling at some point, I think its just a matter of time for me :-) I truly hope sooner rather than later!

Long Overdue :-)

Asalamu Alaikum,

Its been long overdue for me to update my blog but here I am! Back and ready to keep posting on my blog. I have had a wonderful and everchanging year! I moved, put my children into Full day Islamic school and had a baby! Lots happening and alot that I am happy about ilhamdiallah. Its been quite the year for my children as well, many extreme changes for them I still feel as though they are still adjusting to all of it. But here we are taking day by day and looking forward to whats to come! Stay Tuned...
